Maybe your Mrs. told you to stop playing xbox live so that you would finally walk the dog while she went to her mothers but you got carried away on COD4 with your buddy and the dog urinated all over her brand new suede purse. And maybe you and your buddy had the bright idea to try to hide the evidence by playing fetch with her purse hoping the dog would chew it up in the process so you could blame it on "that darn dog!" but after 15 minutes of fetch she pulled into the driveway because she forgot her new suede purse. Let's get this straight, if it wasn't for her genes, you'd most likely have to bubble wrap all the corners in your house so your offspring wouldn't hurt themselves on them. So forget the flowers and jewelry because nothing says, "I'm sorry," like a bike with a heart shaped cut out at the bottom.
Ofcourse, the above is uhh...umm.. "hypothetically" speaking...we're much smarter than that. Joking aside, beautiful bike with Benotto pantographings on the seat stays and fork. Also a super cool heart shaped cut out on the bottom bracket shell.

She was my main arm candy last year. People would approach me and ask, "Is that your bike?" I was always proud to show her off. She accompanied me on many rides to the beach, to work and frequently to the local gas station at 1am to buy Doritos. I treated her like a princess. Whenever it rained, we both waited under a bridge until it stopped. Whenever those 1am street-toughs lurked outside the gas station, we always waited for them to leave before I left her unattended to go buy Doritos.
We've shared many memories together, but as time went on, my eye turned outwards. There are just too many other pretty bikes to fix up and ride. I admit, I rationalized it when I bought my new fling; "I'm only gonna use it here and there, I'll still ride my Peugeot - that's my baby!" nothing could replace her. But a fling turned into the real deal. Ever since, my Peugeot has fallen from grace as my favorite bike. I never meant for this to happen, It's just not "me" to have two main bikes, I'm not that kind of guy.
In respect to our time spent together, I feel it's time to find her a new owner that will place her in the much deserved number 1 spot.

**This was completely stripped down to the bottom bracket and rebuilt last summer! This was such a mess when I got it last year, so much so that I ended up throwing out the original crank, brakes, handlebars and all that was left of the gear mechanism. In the end, I fitted it with the cool looking Shimano 600 gears with arabesque patterns. Red, blue and gold - beauty.
I wanted to keep this one for myself. I tried so hard to love this and it was definitely easy to fall in love with. But I'm 5'9 (5'10 after a glass of milk) and this is a 50.5cm bike. It rides perfectly and I feel great riding it but everyone looks at me like I'm a circus act. Every time I catch my reflection in shiny objects (cars and well windexed windows) I understand why - I'm a bear on a tricycle. I've finally come to the conclusion that I am much too large for this bike.
We hope someone else falls in love with this as it deserves to be ridden and shown off around town! Represent Toronto and Jim Miele on this beautifully crafted bike.

Listen up guys, this here isn't just a bike, its a BIKE. My lady friends have told me that there's nothing more romantic than a guy who opens doors and pulls out chairs for his girlfriend - a real gentleman. Now imagine this: you with your rippling quads, sun kissed skin, hair blowing in the wind and her sitting on the top tube while you bike her to the local park for a picnic.
What are you waiting for? be her knight on a shiny bike. She'll have no problem letting you double her on this attractive vintage steel.

How can we, Toronto bike enthusiasts, have a website about bikes without paying homage to such an influential Italian-Canadian-Torontonian bike crafter?
Let's not forget he made some of these Miele's in his shop in Toronto.
